Research Interests
1. Star formation processes in dwarf galaxies. This includes observations from the Wise Observatory in the Negev and from other observatories, including the Arecibo radio observatory in Puerto Rico.
2. Small objects in the Solar System (meteors, comets and asteroids) based on observations from the Wise Observatory.
3. Space Astronomy-TAUVEX (the Israeli Space Telescope). The telescope is being calibrated by El-Op, Electro-Optical Industries Ltd., in preparation for a 2007 launch on an Indian satellite. TAUVEX will perform deep observations of celestial objects in the ultraviolet part of the spectrum.
