Kenneth Mann, presently on leave from TAU to serve as Israel's first Chief Public Defender, has held the positions of distinguished visiting professor at Rutgers Law School, and senior research associate at Yale Law School. He teaches criminal procedure, evidence, trial practice, and supervises a legal-aid clinic in criminal law. He holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, an M.A. from the Center for the Study of Law and Society at Berkeley, a J.D. from Boalt Hall Law School and a Ph.D . from Yale University. He is the author or co-author of three books, including Plea Bargaining in Israel; Defending White Collar Crime; and Sitting in Judgment: The Sentencing of White Collar Offenders, as well as a number of articles, most recently "D ue Process and Private Law," TAU Studies in Law; and "Hearsay Evidence in War Crimes Trials," Israel Yearbook on Human Rights.
