Speakers included Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Custodian of the Holy Land; Prof. Dina Porat, Head of the Chaim Rosenberg School of Jewish Studies; and Dr. Meir Litvak of the Department of Middle Eastern and African History.

Among the speakers were Prof. Moshe Arens, former Foreign Minister Israeli and Ambassador to the US; Dr. Zvi Shtauber, Head of TAU Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies and former Israeli Ambassador to London; and Ora Namir, former Labor Minister and Israeli Ambassador to China.

Among the speakers were Prof. Asher Susser, Head of the Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies; Prof. Ehud Toledano, Head of the School of History; Prof. William Granara of Harvard University; and Prof. Heather Sharkey of the University of Pennsylvania.

Former TAU President, Prof. Yuval Ne`eman, passed away at age 80. Ne`eman, a world renowned physicist, founded the Department of Physics and Astronomy at TAU and the Israeli Space Agency. He also served as Minister of Science between 1982 and 1984 and as Minister of Energy and Science between 1990 and 1992.
