The University Institute for Diplomacy and Regional Studies organized a discussion under the title "The Ambassadors between the Front Line and the Rear Guard – Do Domestic Israeli Systems Disrupt Their Mission?" Among the speakers were Prof. Moshe Arens, former Foreign Minister Israeli and Ambassador to the US; Dr. Zvi Shtauber, Head of TAU Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies and former Israeli Ambassador to London; and Ora Namir, former Labor Minister and Israeli Ambassador to China.

Among the speakers were Prof. Asher Susser, Head of the Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies; Prof. Ehud Toledano, Head of the School of History; Prof. William Granara of Harvard University; and Prof. Heather Sharkey of the University of Pennsylvania.

| Obituaries |

Former TAU President, Prof. Yuval Ne`eman, passed away at age 80. Ne`eman, a world renowned physicist, founded the Department of Physics and Astronomy at TAU and the Israeli Space Agency. He also served as Minister of Science between 1982 and 1984 and as Minister of Energy and Science between 1990 and 1992.
